Memory: Witnessing her father's death
Regained: Day 57, Just Desserts
Form: Skull ring (3/4)
Contents: The memory takes place in Lua's family's estate, and in the room of her father. The only people inside the room are her mother, a healer, her father, and herself.
Her father looks sickly and weak, and can barely talk; her mother looks absolutely worried and forlorn. The healer says that her father's illness has gotten worse, and the energy in his Core has gone weaker and weaker, and he may die soon. Lua's mother starts to cry, but her father holds her hand and tells her not to worry. Then he looks at Lua, and calls her his "proud child", and he says his last words:
"Lua, of age eleven: you are now the Water Guardian, and may you do your work well. Water is calm and cool; waiting and listening; and it is the most important of them all. Remember everything that I have taught you, for you will then teach what you have learned to others."
Everything was absolutely slow, and his father's voice grew weaker and softer as he continued talking. Lua took everything in without showing much reaction, but she felt deep desolation while listening to her father.
Eventually, he had let go of her mother's hand and closed his eyes, and breathed his last.
Lua's mother leaves the room, and the healer bows to Lua before leaving, as well.
